Four Pillars Counseling, PLLC

Counseling, at its core, is about two things: feeling better and creating lasting change.

Most people who come to counseling want relief — from pain, from conflict, from patterns that aren't working. That is a legitimate and important goal. But relief alone is not enough. Four Pillars is built on the belief that lasting change — the kind that holds up when life gets hard again — requires more than symptom management. It requires understanding what is actually driving the problem and addressing it directly.

That is the standard the practice holds itself to with every client.

No two clients are the same, and no two therapeutic relationships should be either. Four Pillars approaches individual and couples counseling differently. Within each form of counseling, the approach is tailored to fit the specific people seeking help and takes into account their desires and unique struggles.

The thread that binds all this work is a commitment to honesty, structure, and a focus on durable outcomes.

If you have questions about the specific modalities Four Pillars embraces, the free 15-minute consultation call is the right place to ask.

Taylor Horton earned his Juris Doctor degree at Baylor Law School, where he graduated cum laude and served as a Technical Editor on the Baylor Law Review. He earned his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Texas A&M University (formerly Texas A&M University-Commerce).

Before entering clinical practice, Taylor practiced law in the areas of criminal defense, plaintiff-side personal injury, and commercial litigation. Working alongside people in some of the most difficult, high-stakes moments of their lives fostered a nuanced understanding of human behavior, decision-making, and motivation that informs every client relationship.

Taylor is licensed as an LPC-Associate in Texas and a Licensed Associate Counselor in Arkansas, and serves clients in both states.
