This policy governs the website at fourpillarscounselingpllc.com only. It does not govern the collection or use of protected health information (PHI) in the context of the therapeutic relationship, which is separately governed by HIPAA and the practice's Notice of Privacy Practices provided to clients at intake.
Scope of This Policy
This Privacy & Cookies Policy applies to the website located at fourpillarscounselingpllc.com (the "Site"), operated by Four Pillars Counseling, PLLC ("Four Pillars," "we," "us," or "our"), a professional limited liability company operating in the states of Texas and Arkansas.
This policy describes what information is collected when you visit this Site, how that information is used, and what choices you have. By using this Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information Collected
Information You Provide Directly
This Site does not include a general contact form. The primary means of contact is through the scheduling embed provided by Acuity Scheduling, a third-party service described below. Any information you enter into the Acuity Scheduling interface — including your name, phone number, email address, or any other details entered during the booking process — is collected and processed by Acuity Scheduling, not directly by Four Pillars.
Information Collected Automatically
This Site does not use analytics software (such as Google Analytics) to track visitor behavior. No cookies are set by Four Pillars directly, and no visitor tracking is performed by Four Pillars. However, third-party services embedded on this Site may collect certain technical information automatically. See the Third-Party Services and Cookies sections below.
Third-Party Services
This Site makes use of the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy practices independent of Four Pillars. Four Pillars does not control and is not responsible for the data practices of these third parties.
Google Fonts
This Site uses Google Fonts, a service provided by Google LLC, to display custom typography. When a page on this Site loads, your browser makes a request directly to Google's servers to retrieve font files. This request may include your IP address and browser information. Google's data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Acuity Scheduling
Appointment scheduling on this Site is handled through an embedded widget provided by Acuity Scheduling, a service of Squarespace, Inc. Four Pillars uses the HIPAA-compliant tier of Acuity's services. If you use the scheduling widget to book a consultation or appointment, any information you enter is transmitted to and processed by Acuity Scheduling. Four Pillars uses that information to manage client appointments. Acuity Scheduling's data practices are governed by the Squarespace Privacy Policy.
Information submitted through Acuity Scheduling in connection with a counseling appointment may constitute protected health information (PHI) under HIPAA and is handled accordingly by Four Pillars in its capacity as a covered entity.
Cookies
Cookies are small data files placed on your device by websites you visit. Four Pillars does not set any cookies directly on this Site. However, the third-party services embedded on this Site — specifically Google Fonts and Acuity Scheduling — may set cookies or use similar tracking technologies in accordance with their own privacy policies.
If you wish to limit or block cookies from third-party services, you may do so through your browser settings. Doing so may affect the appearance or functionality of this Site.
Children
This Site is not directed at children under the age of 13, and Four Pillars does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this Site. If you believe that a child under 13 has submitted personal information through this Site, please contact us at the number listed below.
Changes to This Policy
Four Pillars reserves the right to update this policy at any time. When changes are made, the Effective Date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of this Site following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
